Our Community – Sue

If you haven’t already realized, I am very against the idea of “specially-called” or “specially appointed” ministers who are “more qualified” than others.

…but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant…    2 Corinthians 3:5-6

I see a lot of awesome miracles all the time, and I’m one of few in our group that consistently blogs testimonies. The problem is, it doesn’t portray an accurate picture of what we are experiencing as a community.

As of now, I know about 20 people in the San Jose area who are consistently healing the sick, casting out demons, and preaching the Kingdom everywhere. We have people who are still in school (high school, college), who have full-time jobs, and people of all ages (13-50+).

So, for the next few days, I’m going to be posting a bunch of awesome testimonies from our friends.

Here are 2 testimonies from Sue:

About a week ago, one of my friends (J.T.) came into work and she was complaining about her hand hurting her a lot, so I asked her what happened and she said she had fallen on her hand and twisted it and gotten a slight sprain. It was noticeably swollen and a bit bruised, so I asked her if I could pray for it, and promised her that the pain would leave if I did.

She looked skeptical, didn’t really believe me, so I just took her hand and told the pain to go. It did, and she freaked out a bit. She doesn’t really like God, simply because of past experiences with churches and church people.

I talked to her for a bit, before she got off of work. She told me she didn’t really want to hear anything more about it and then left.

The next day she came in to work again and asked me if I’d like to go to lunch and talk, and if she could bring a friend with her, because she wanted to know more about what happened.
I asked her a few days ago about it again, and she said the pain never came back and the swelling had left completely by the day after I prayed for it.

Another one from this past Saturday morning at the mall:
I was in the mall and saw an older lady (Cynthia) who was slightly hunched over, walking with a cane. I talked to her for quite a while, just getting to know her a bit, turns out she had really bad arthritis and a lot of pain in her back, as well has hands, and pretty much every where.
I prayed for her once, and she said the pain in her hands left, but she still couldn’t straighten up and still had pain in her back. I prayed for her back a few times before she said the pain was completely gone, and she still wasn’t able to straighten up all the way, although it had gotten a little bit better.
I prayed for it one more time before she kept on walking. Then I ran into one of the stores in the mall to pick something up, was in there for about 5 or 10 minutes, and then was on my way out when I saw her sitting on a bench on the side of the mall so I ran over to say goodbye and just give her a hug. Turns out she could stand almost completely straight by then, and had absolutely no pain.
