Getting Vision

I wrote this last summer when I was in a slump. I had no passion and no motivation. I was spending 12 hours a day on my computer playing games, watching videos, hoping to find some kind of stimulation.

I was so down and out that I went on google and searched, “How to find your true purpose in life” and I found an article that resulted in the following answers.

I had typed out about 60 answers before I arrived at what I have below, but they were all random answers that didn’t have any substance. I typed for about 10 minutes straight and these were my answers (no edits).

I used refer back this and read it to myself when I caught myself with a lack of passion and a lack of direction.

I would encourage you to write your own mission statement, sum up who you are in a directional “life statement.” If you can have your vision in front of you, you will never waste time doing something you aren’t called to do, or something you aren’t passionate about.

Here is a mission statement from Travis, one of our students.

Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.

Habakkuk 2:2
