Journey in the Supernatural
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs.
Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
- Howard Thurman
This is a little bit of my background as to how I got introduced to the power of God in the everyday believer:
I grew up in San Jose. I grew up going to church every Saturday and Sunday. It was all pretty mundane until I went to a conference that my pastor told us about called Jesus Culture.
It was the year that Todd Bentley spoke, and I saw people get out of wheelchairs, heard testimonies of people who felt their tumors dissolve, people with broken bones and pain were healed… it was my introduction to the dominion of the Kingdom. Unfortunately there was no one to show me the ropes of how it worked. I went home with stories, but no real experience.
This was my reality for the next 3 years, a lot of talk, but no walk. I would defend the reality of healing and miracles, but I couldn’t back it up with my own hands. It was a constant frustration and I didn’t know how to jump out of the pit.
Near the end of 2009, I met Ryan who introduced me to Curry Blake‘s teachings, and it was the turning point of my life. I began to realize what God had already put inside of me, I no longer had to wait for a phone call from God when he already gave me a letter, and I no longer needed a special ‘leading’ to do what He already commanded me to do.
With a handful of small paradigm shifts, I saw more happen in 2-3 months than I did the rest of my life. About 500+ miracles took place because I started to use what God had put inside of me. Turns out, all I needed to do to get out of the pit was to take a step forward…
I couldn’t go back to school (read more about it here). I had seen too much. I decided to go after the one commission that Jesus gave, that was to preach, and disciple nations.
And here I am today.
Alive.

I want to emphasize. I’m not some special guy with some special anointing (1 John 2:27). If you ask any of my friends who know me, I’m just a normal guy (some would disagree…).
I don’t cry out to God for hours on end for Him to bless me, because He already has (Ephesians 1:3). I don’t spend hours ‘waiting on the Lord’ because He is actually waiting on me (Hebrews 10:12-13, Romans 16:20). I don’t go around looking for ‘mantles’ or ‘impartation’ because through His grace, I am enriched in everything in all utterance and all knowledge, so I am short in no gift (1 Corinthians 1:4-7).
All throughout the entire New Testament it talks about the mystery of the gospel. The mystery is “Christ in you” (Colossians 1:26-27). We have been made one spirit with Jesus (1 Cor. 6:17), and when people see us, they should see Jesus. We have been called to make known this mystery.
My faith is founded on the Christ that lives in me (Galatians 2:20), not in myself, or my works. This simple revelation makes all the difference. This is why it is possible for those who believe in Jesus to do the works that He did, and greater (Mark 16:17, John 14:12).

For a more thorough reading about my journey of walking in the supernatural, go here. I talk about how I got started, the struggles I went through, what worked, what didn’t, the mindsets I had, and what mindsets I have now.
Hopefully they will help you get to where you want to get, faster =].
